About the Penrith Area

Since 2007, the Sydney Bears have made their home at the "Penrith Ice Palace”. The rink is a world-class ice skating and entertainment centre located on the out skirts of Western Sydney only 40 minutes drive from the centre of Sydney.  The Bears practice and play all of their 12 home games at the Penrith Ice Palace.

Penrith is also home to some of Australia’s great tourist attractions including the Regatta Sports Center the world famous Blue Mountains are only a short drive away .

The rink is an Olympic sized rink 4,000 sqm with state of the facility. The ice arena has the best quality ice with regular monitoring of ice temperature, air temperature and humidity to create the best conditions for ice hockey all year round. Even in 40 degree (celcius) heat, hard, dry ice can be maintained. Venue parking is located in the front of the Rink.
