Q: How did you pick your playing number?

A: I just liked number 3, it’s been my number since I started playing

Q: Do you have a nickname at hockey?

A: Steve, Stevie, Stevo… so no, not really

Q: When did you start playing hockey?

A: 1991, inline hockey was just about to have its first season in NSW, my parents made me go. 

Q: How did you score your first goal?

A: First ever? Not sure. My first AIHL goal was five hole on the road against Melbourne Ice.

Q: Do you have a set move on a breakaway or do you decide on the way in?  

A: On the way in

Q: Who was your favourite NHL player growing up?

A: We didn’t have Foxtel so I never watched much NHL, Ray Bourque maybe

Q: What other sports do you follow?  

A: Inline Hockey, MMA

Q: Do you have a favourite shot? 

A: Wrist shot

A: What’s the most memorable moment of your hockey career?  

A: Being selected for the inline hockey Junior World All-Star Team; end-to-end goal to win Nationals at inline a few years ago.

Q: Worst injury you have had in a game?

A: Separated AC joint

Q: What do you do in your free time away from hockey?  

A: Go to the gym, play video games, tinker with the car

Q: What’s your dream car?  

A: Lamborghini

Q: You’ve just won the lottery what do you do?

A: Cars, houses and build a dual-rink roller and ice hockey facility.

Q: What’s your future ambition?  

A: Comfy life, have a family, play hockey till I can’t anymore.

Q: Favourite moment with the Bears?  

A: Singing the song after a win.

A: Ultimate Fighter theme song

A: Winning, trips overseas

A: Youngblood
