Q: How did you pick your playing number?
A: When I started inline 48 was the only number. Then when I came to the bears as a kid 48 was taken so I chose 84.
Q: Do you have a nickname at hockey?
A: Espo
Q: When did you start playing hockey?
A: 14 Years old
Q: How did you score your first goal?
A: Wow um look at Pavel Dasyuk’s goal against Marty Turco that’s how.
Q: Do you have a set move on a breakaway or do you decide on the way in?
A: Recently I’ve tried falling over and shooting directly into the pads. It hasn’t worked out yet but I’m all about fine tuning.
Q: Who was your favourite NHL player growing up?
A: Just one? Steve Yzerman I guess.
Q: What other sports do you follow?
A: There are other sports?
Q: Do you have a favourite shot?
A: Wristers all the way
A: What’s the most memorable moment of your hockey career?
A: Probably playing in Canada for the first time ever and realising there are players a billion times better than me and younger.
Q: Worst injury you have had in a game?
A: High ankle sprain.
Q: What do you do in your free time away from hockey?
A: Lately work and working out maybe reading.
Q: What’s your dream car?
A: I don’t know don’t really maybe a nice BMW?
Q: You’ve just won the lottery what do you do?
A: Buy the Bears and place everyone on salaries buy a rink closer to the city and try and bring in more fans.
Q: What’s your future ambition?
A: With hockey? I think I’ve done a lot to be proud about. With life I don’t know stay employed I guess (baby steps).
Q: Favourite moment with the Bears?
A: Of course winning the championship in 07 that was an amazing year for the Bears. Those who remember how we started off will agree.
Q: What do you have on your ipod right now?
A: Rock, Dance, Metal and Alternative.
Q: What do you enjoy most about playing hockey?
A: Winning
Q: Favourite hockey movie?
A: Has to be the original Slapshot movie
