Bears Vs Adrenaline - Game 23

After their convincing 11-0 win over the Knights last weekend, the Bears set off on their final road trip of the season before heading down to the finals.Riding a 4 game winning streak the Bears are looking to carry their strong performance into the final 2 games of the regular season.

Clear stand outs for the Bears over the last 4 games have been been Nick Boucher in net and Michal Lauko upfront. Boucher set back to back shut outs in his last 2 games against the Adrenaline and Ice Dogs, whilst posting a GAA of only 1.00 and SV% of 0.955.  Lauko has been heating up at the right time for the Bears after producing 12 points (6G, 6A) in just 4 games.

The 4 game regular season series between the Adrenaline and Bears is coming down to the wire with the Bears currently leading the series 2 games to 1.

"Playing in Adelaide is always tough, they know that barn really well and from my memory,  they have a pretty solid record there this year" said forward Brett Nelson-Bond.

Much is riding on Saturday night's game with the winner securing 3rd position on the AIHL ladder and ultimately playing the 2nd placed team in the first round of the finals. The Bears currently sit on 39 points with 2 games in hand over the Adrenaline.

“With both teams having already clinched their spots in the finals we expect a clean and fast game as nobody wants to get suspended or injured at this stage of the season. We are aware of our inner strengths, we dominate goaltending and we will be concentrating on our game plan without any calculation for the final placing” said coach Rubes on the coaching games this weekend.
